Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the title of Outstanding Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She was credited with launching research in modern science on children's memory and eyewitness testimony, as well as the application of child witnesses within court settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has received numerous International and national awards. Her work has been with numerous organisations and governments around the globe on research and guidelines pertaining to the child victimization of the justice system. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). Professor Goodman is a member in a variety of professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Additionally, she is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the President of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
